Up until now, for me, Hallacas were only part of the typical food for Christmas .... It turns out that for my sister in law Karina and, I now see that, for many other people as well, Hallacas are their favorite dish for any occasion. So much so that came loaded with banana leaves and with achiote (both essential ingredients to make them, and for them to come out great) from Venezuela and, apart from that, while they were here in Murcia, we did a culinary session and made Hallacas together at Leo´s house.

I´ll owe you the recipe. Anyway I imagine that you can Google it and get tons of hits. For me there is only one ingredient you should not miss, make them in family with a lot of good vibes and plenty of wine! Too bad that I barely participated this time around. I was at the climax of my illness (which thankfully I've overcome) and spent most of the day in Morpheus arms within such pain that it´s better not go into detail.
Aun y así, como este era un viaje sin precedentes y de esos que recordaremos toda la vida, hubo muchos paparazzi para hacer el recuento en fotos y no perdernos ni un segundo de tan maravillosa velada.
Even so, as this was an unprecedented trip and one of those to cherish for lifetime, there were many paparazzi to take photos and not miss a second of this wonderful gathering.
Yo por lo pronto, tengo las hallacas que me tocaron guardadas en el freezer para comermelas este diciembre... para mi, no hay Hallaca en Semana Santa.
I, for one, have stored my allotted Hallacas in the freezer to eat them this December ... for me, there are no Hallacas at Easter.
